FinGig was joined by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) for an exclusive Q&A webinar to answer all of your questions about federal aid programs available for self-employed Americans during the pandemic.

Ahead of the Q&A webinar, we asked self-employed workers to submit all of their outstanding questions about PPP, EIDL, and loan forgiveness; we received nearly 100 submissions! We grouped and sorted through all of the questions and discussed live on air with the SBA.

Thank you to Wendell Davis (Regional Administrator with the SBA) and Abigail Gonzalez (Loan Specialist with the SBA) for your time in helping address the needs of sole proprietors, gig workers, and independent contractors during COVID-19!

This presentation should be construed as tax, regulatory, legal, or accounting advice. All answers are presented as general advice with respect to the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Emergency Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) program. FinGig is a volunteer organization and does not provide any type of tax, regulatory, legal, or accounting advice. In all instance, please consult your tax advisor, CPA, and/or attorney for assistance with all matters involving the Small Business Administration or the Internal Revenue Service.

Two cash grants opened up this week to help Wayne county businesses affected by COVID-19. If you're an entrepreneur or small business owner in the Detroit area, see link below to learn more and apply for these funds. Let us know if we can help - FinGig volunteers are available as a resource for you!

Thank you to WCNC Charlotte for featuring FinGig and helping spread the word about federal funds available to support self-employed workers and small business during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Co-founders Chrys Nikopoulos and Shrey Kapoor were interviewed by WCNC's Briana Harper on the extension to the federal Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and how FinGig can help self-employed Americans and small biz owners apply for the $130 billion of aid available.
